Re: The Oldenhaller Contract (14)

I'm back as well! Good to hear you've sorted yourself out with a new job, I recently switched jobs as my old one was a nightmare. I've gone from Transmitting 21 crappy SciFi and Universal channels to now doing just ITV2 and ITV4, so I now get to watch Jeremy Kyle and Axe Men all day long.

I'm happy for Waldemar to sit this next part out as he's so beat up. He'll go on a ramble and swing by a Temple of Shallya and make a offering to the Priestesses there, hopefully in exchange for some much needed healing (and a happy ending if his cash stretches that far!).

Back for the second time. Glad to hear it. :) I thought my new job was bad though .. Jeremy Kyle? *takes knife to eyeball
I'm sorry to say my new job I was so pleased with last week turned to shit on Saturday. I got caught refusing to slap down an old guy with parkinsons for not setting the timer on his blue badge (was out a whole 30 mins of a 3 hr allotment) properly. So now I am BEING INVESTIGATED GAIS. Aka start looking for another job wlol.

Needless to say this left me ecstatic at the prospect of another bloody job marathon. But then I read you're watching Jeremy Kyle. All day. For money. Dude you are made of fuckin' steel. I salute you! Presumably you can mute it? Or else, in all seriousness, how do you preserve your sanity? o_0

Well I was thinking you weren't coming back (tsk) beforehand. I mean we can bung him a few additional wounds as a fudge along or maybe have Mattias heal him?  I'm not sure how Waldemar feels about Magick(tm) but Mattias is supposed to be a blue badge sporting monkish healery type of chap after all ..

Also making progress on the update, two hours this afternoon.

From where I'm sitting (ie a startling combination of naïveté and ignorance) both your jobs seem to have a sort of channel four documentary feel to them. Does someone like that Stacey Dooley ever hang about asking you concerned questions about the stete of your mental health?

I don't know why but the opening credits of Bergerac spring to mind. But yes. Ours is the lot of the talentless/charmless men. I mean, if I had ovaries I'd just spawn 50 kids and laugh all the way to the bank init. I suppose I could pretend to be schizophrenic like almost everyone I dropped out of university with and get signed off to a life of Stella and tasteless body art. But for realz, Tsamados must possess some faculty of iron will I can only dream of. I just couldn't do that. Not even slightly.

Ok I get Mathias to heal me. Waldemar has no qualms about magic, which benefits him.

With regards my job, put it this way ITV4 gets a lot  more attention than 2. I'm a particular fan of Porn Stars (not what you think!), a US programme following a Porn shop in Las Vegas. If you ever get a chance to watch it check out Chum Lee, he cracks me up with the dumb act he puts on.

My day off on Thursday was taken up babysitting an 80lb staffie with chronic flatulence. Not the way I'd planned to spend it.
Update will be Sunday.

Am slipping again. Not likely to finish tonight - well not to a standard that I'd be happy with. Off Sunday and BH Monday though and determined to get this going! Its taking longer than before purely because I have to remember wtf is happening and the plot and stuff wlol. I'll probably delete all these pathetic excuse posts soon(tm) too. Its dead embarrassing. :P

Ok I am splitting this up in to two updates. Turn 14 will be what we've done to date. That's posted. My eyes are fried now so I'll check it for errors tomorrow.. ! Turn 15. will be the Kaisersnitzel. Otherwise its never going to get done lol.
I'll do that tomorrow then lock this and open delib 15... ! Sorry for putting words in your mouth Kaine and for adding loads of extra actions etc. I was bored! And rusty. And it made it easier. :P

Re: The Oldenhaller Contract (14)

Fantastic. Reads very well and pulls together what was a bit of a sprawling OOC conversation. Doesn't seem to stray very far at all from what we did with our characters, so all good, I think. Looking forward to #15...

btw: re-reading the last two journal entries made me more aware that (i) I can't keep track of all the names - have to keep checking the (very useful) Dramatis Personae list, (ii) the Schatzenheimers are supposed to actually have the bauble right now (that had somehoe slipped my mind) - I hope they still have it by the time we are done roughing up ... [checks list] Harry and Gustav.

Just keen to get this story going somewhere hehe. Its getting harder to 'get back in' every time I stop to be fair. I have no idea how you lot can be arsed with it .. ! But thanks for persevering. :)

Yeah to re-re-summarize: the Shatzheimers have the bauble/package. They are organized crime and don't generally get their hands dirty with low level stuff. They are part of something called the Alum Cartel. Oldenhaller wants the package rather badly and has apparently made a contract with them for it, but they've decided to renegotiate. Which is odd because Oldenhaller doesn't renegotiate. Only he is now apparently. Diedtz also wants the package, but its not clear if he's working for Oldenhaller, himself or someone else. Nobody knows anything about him really.

Dirck Huyderman is supposed to be one of the good guys. At least from a mutant perspective. Mattias is pretty sure he isn't 'H'. That said he is the fulcrum when it comes to the Refuge and the underground railway type shits going down here. But according to Magnus, Ingrid was cynically exploiting her guests, fleecing desperate mutants out of everything they have on a promise of freedom. That apparently was a lucrative business, enough to make 'H' want a cut of it in exchange for recovering the package from the Shatzheimers .. for Ingrid. Who is now suddenly not alive anymore.

Great stuff GM, next thing we'll be getting those experience points lol

Ahh yeah I forgot about that! I'll work something out for the delib next turn.. :)

Re: The Oldenhaller Contract (14)

Not so hot. Late finishes coupled with awful back breaking job. Got an interview on Monday for a 'proper' IT job.
One which affords me a desk, a PC and will probably be easy enough to get all my 'work' done before 10am. ;)
Not giving up! Though the last month and a bit has been bloody awful not gonna lie.

Oh God me too! :)

Its 22k basic (6k more than I get now), Mon-Fri 9-5 and its NHS so will probably get my CCNA/MCP's on the taxpayer (w00t!).

Pretty good gig for an 'entry level' Helpdesk kinda thing.

Apparently I have survived 35 years without ever hearing of ITIL (v3). Good God.

But yeah, interview technique will be sans deadly weapons. I really want this job lol.

Update will be Tuesday. I have cleared my schedule (so washing pants tomorrow instead).

Have just finished watching this: https://youtu.be/cSfYbxpSSVQ?list=PLeag … S0wHcG0KaZ

Well recommend. They don't do em like this anymore eh? *sigh

Hehe polished. Even splurged on some Renapur. Pretty sure that stuff is more expensive than cocaine ..

The link looks TERRIBAD. But it isn't. Captain Triggers is one of the singular performances/characters of all time. No lie.

Almost. I almost thought it was. Currently experiencing court summons. Good news is, no job since today. Until. The HR people at NHS do stuff.
